Bio Medika is a well-known clinic laboratory with many branches in Java and Bali. The new Kelapa Gading branch’s design is based on Bio Medika’s rebranding direction with a Peranakan theme as a tribute to the branch’s location where many Indonesian Chinese descendants live. Since the Peranakan theme has many details and ornaments, a thoughtful plan was needed in the design process to ensure the place holds its Peranakan vibe without lessening the space’s function as a healthcare facility.
